Milwaukee Urban Water Trail: Paddling in your own backyard

Come learn about the Milwaukee Urban Water Trail with our very own Cheryl Nenn on April 4th from 7pm until 8 pm. This event is being held at Brookfield REI.

Join Cheryl Nenn of Milwaukee Riverkeeper to learn about the Milwaukee Urban Water Trail. This is a canoe and kayak route through urban portions of the Milwaukee, Menomonee, and Kinnickinnic Rivers- providing more than 25 miles of paddling opportunities. The Milwaukee Urban Water Trail enhances public recreational opportunities, promotes safe and legal river access, and encourages stewardship of our natural resources. The presentation will include information on safe and legal river access points, signage, amenities such as restrooms/parking, and nearby cultural, historical, and natural points of interest. The water trail is available digitally on the Milwaukee Riverkeeper website. We'll also discuss new access points that have been developed on the Milwaukee and Menomonee Rivers, as well as at Lakeshore State Park, which will be added to the next map edition. The Water Trail has been designated as a National Recreation Trail by the US Dept. of Interior and as a "Recommended Water Trail" by the American Canoe Association. Come join us for a virtual paddle of Milwaukee's rivers!
